Belief-Desire-Intention Model

The Belief-Desire-Intention (BDI) model is a framework used to simulate human-like decision-making in artificial agents. It suggests that an agent's actions stem from three components: beliefs (information it has about the world), desires (objectives or goals it wants to achieve), and intentions (plans or commitments to act). The agent continuously updates its beliefs based on new information, evaluates its desires, and forms intentions to select the best course of action. This approach helps create systems that can reason, plan, and adapt in complex, changing environments, much like how humans make decisions based on what they know, want, and plan to do.
