Belief-Desire-Intent Model
The Belief-Desire-Intent (BDI) model is a framework used to understand and replicate human decision-making in artificial agents. It assumes that an agent has beliefs (information about the world), desires (goals or outcomes it wants to achieve), and intentions (the plans or commitments it has decided to pursue). The agent consistently updates its beliefs based on new information, evaluates its desires, and commits to specific intentions to guide actions. This model helps create systems that act in a rational, goal-directed way, aligning their behavior with their perceptions and objectives.
