Belgian Resistance
The Belgian Resistance was a network of individuals and groups that fought against the Nazi occupation of Belgium during World War II (1940-1945). They engaged in activities like gathering intelligence, sabotaging German operations, helping Allied soldiers and Jews escape, and spreading underground newspapers. Their efforts aimed to weaken the occupying forces and support the broader Allied war effort. Despite being often secretive and risky, their actions contributed to Belgium’s eventual liberation and symbolize national courage and resistance against oppression.
