Belgian Draft
The Belgian Draft is a large, powerful horse breed originating from Belgium, known for its impressive strength and size. Typically standing about 16 to 17 hands tall (64-68 inches) and weighing around 1,800 to 2,200 pounds, they were traditionally used for heavy farm work and pulling carts or plows. With a muscular build, a broad chest, and a gentle temperament, Belgian Drafts are also appreciated for their versatility, including participation in draft work, showing, and riding. Their distinct appearance features a handsome, expressive face with a solid, smooth coat, often fawn with a white blaze or markings.
