Behavioral intervention teams
Behavioral Intervention Teams (BITs) are specialized groups within organizations, such as schools or workplaces, trained to identify and assist individuals showing signs of distress, problematic behavior, or mental health concerns. Their goal is to provide early support, connect individuals with necessary resources, and prevent escalation of issues. By collaboratively assessing situations and intervening appropriately, BITs promote a safer, more supportive environment for everyone involved. Essentially, they serve as a proactive approach to addressing behavioral health concerns before crises occur.
