Behavioral determinism
Behavioral determinism is the idea that a person’s actions and choices are entirely influenced by prior causes, such as their environment, experiences, and biological factors. It suggests that every decision we make results from a chain of preceding events, leaving little room for free will. Essentially, our behavior is seen as determined by factors outside of our control, meaning that if all relevant conditions were known, one could predict how a person would act in any situation. This perspective emphasizes the causal nature of behavior rather than viewing choices as completely free or spontaneous.
