Bee colonies
A bee colony is an organized social unit where thousands of honeybees work together. It consists of a queen bee, who lays eggs; worker bees, which perform tasks like foraging, nursing larvae, and protecting the hive; and drones, whose primary role is to mate with queens. The colony is centered around the hive, a structure that provides shelter and storage for honey and pollen. This cooperation ensures the colony's survival, growth, and health, with each bee fulfilling specialized roles in a highly efficient, complex social system.
