Beatification

Beatification is a recognition by the Catholic Church that a person has lived a holy life and is now able to intercede on behalf of individuals who pray to them. It is a formal step toward sainthood, acknowledging that the individual is in Heaven and can serve as a model of virtue. The process involves thorough investigation of their life and virtues, and typically requires a miracle attributed to their intercession. Once beatified, they are given the title “Blessed” and can be venerated publicly in specific regions, serving as an inspiration for faith and devotion.
