Beaker folk

The Beaker folk were an ancient European culture that flourished around 2800 to 1800 BCE during the late Neolithic and early Bronze Age. Named after their distinctive bell-shaped pottery, they spread across parts of Western and Central Europe, including Britain and Iberia. They were likely skilled metalworkers, farmers, and cattle herders, and they played a key role in the early development of European metallurgy. The Beaker culture is also associated with significant social changes, including the introduction of new burial practices and possibly early social hierarchies. Their influence marks an important transitional period in European prehistory.
