BDI agents (Belief-Desire-Intention)
BDI agents are a type of artificial intelligence designed to mimic human decision-making by using three core components: beliefs (what the agent knows about the world), desires (the goals or outcomes it wants to achieve), and intentions (the plans it commits to in pursuit of those goals). This framework helps agents act rationally by constantly updating their beliefs based on new information, choosing desires to prioritize, and forming intentions as actionable plans. BDI agents are useful in complex situations where adaptive, goal-driven behavior is needed, allowing them to operate effectively in dynamic environments.
