BBC Worldwide

BBC Worldwide was the commercial arm of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), responsible for managing and monetizing the BBC’s content globally. It handled sales of TV shows, formats, and other media rights to international broadcasters and platforms, generating revenue that supported the BBC’s public service mission. BBC Worldwide also produced and distributed content like documentaries, dramas, and entertainment programs worldwide. In 2018, it was rebranded as BBC Studios, which now performs these functions independently, focusing on content production, distribution, and licensing internationally.
