Bayonet

A bayonet is a blade that is designed to be attached to the muzzle of a firearm, such as a rifle or musket, allowing the weapon to be used as a spear in close combat. Historically, soldiers would fix bayonets onto their guns during battles to defend themselves or to engage an opponent when running out of ammunition. Modern usage has diminished, but the bayonet remains a symbol of military tradition and can still be used in certain tactical scenarios. Essentially, it transforms a firearm into a dual-purpose tool for both shooting and close-quarters fighting.
