Bayesian measurement

Bayesian measurement is a method of updating our belief about a quantity based on new evidence. It uses Bayes' theorem to combine prior knowledge (our initial estimate) with observed data, resulting in a revised estimate called the posterior. This process allows us to refine our understanding as more information becomes available, accounting for uncertainty and variability. In essence, Bayesian measurement provides a structured way to improve accuracy and confidence in measurements or predictions by continually incorporating new data into our prior assumptions.
