Bavarian Wars
The Bavarian Wars refer mainly to a series of conflicts, particularly the War of the Bavarian Succession (1778-1779), involving Bavaria and its neighbors, primarily Prussia and Austria. After the death of the Bavarian Elector Maximilian III, a succession crisis erupted over competing claims to the throne. Tensions escalated into a military standoff but resulted in a brief and limited conflict that ended with the Treaty of Teschen, confirming the status quo. These wars highlighted the complexities of territorial claims and the rivalries among European powers during that era.
