Baudrillard

Jean Baudrillard was a French philosopher who explored how modern society interacts with media, symbols, and reality. He argued that in today's culture, representations—like images, advertising, and media—often replace or distort our understanding of the real world. This creates a "hyperreality," where distinctions between reality and simulation blur, making it difficult to know what is genuine. Essentially, Baudrillard suggested that our perceptions are increasingly shaped by mediated images and signs, leading us to live in a world of illusion rather than direct reality.
