Battles of Dacian Wars
The Dacian Wars were two military conflicts between the Roman Empire and the Dacians, led by King Decebalus, during 101-102 AD and 105-106 AD. Rome aimed to conquer Dacia (modern Romania) for its rich gold mines and strategic position. The Romans, under Emperor Trajan, faced tough Dacian defenses but eventually succeeded through superior military tactics and engineering, including building bridges and fortifications. The wars ended with Dacia being incorporated as a Roman province, expanding Rome’s empire and securing its northern frontier. These conflicts are notable for their intensity and the significant Roman military achievements involved.
