Battle of Tsushima

The Battle of Tsushima took place in 1905 during the Russo-Japanese War, where the Japanese navy decisively defeated the Russian Baltic Fleet near Japan. The Russian ships, trying to reach the Pacific, were caught between strong Japanese defenses in the Tsushima Strait. The Japanese fleet used faster ships and better tactics to inflict heavy losses on the Russians, destroying most of their fleet. This victory showcased the importance of naval power and technological innovation and significantly shifted global influence toward Japan, marking the first major naval battle with wireless communication and modern armored warships.
