
Battle of Tampere
The Battle of Tampere was a crucial conflict during the Finnish Civil War in 1918, fought between the Finnish government forces and the Red Guard, composed of workers and soldiers allied with the Russian Revolution. Tampere, Finland's industrial hub, was a strategic location. The Reds controlled the city, but the government launched a military assault to reclaim it. After intense fighting from March 22 to April 6, 1918, government troops succeeded in capturing Tampere, marking a turning point in the war and helping the Finnish government establish control over the country.
