Battle of Orsha
The Battle of Orsha took place on September 8, 1514, during the Polish–Lithuanian–Tatar War. It was a confrontation between the allied forces of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland against the Grand Duchy of Moscow. The alliance successfully stopped Moscow’s advance into Eastern Europe, using coordinated infantry, cavalry, and artillery tactics. The victory was significant because it preserved Lithuanian and Polish independence and halted Moscow's westward expansion, influencing the balance of power in Eastern Europe for years to come.
