Battle of Montlhiéry

The Battle of Montlhéry took place on July 16, 1465, during the French Wars of Religion. It was fought between the forces loyal to King Louis XI and a coalition of rebellious nobles known as the Ligue du Bien Public. The battle occurred near Montlhéry, south of Paris, and saw fierce fighting. Despite being outnumbered, Louis XI’s army managed to hold its ground. The battle ended inconclusively, leading to a truce, but it highlighted the ongoing struggle for power between the monarchy and the nobility in France during this turbulent period.
