Battle of Kock
The Battle of Kock was the final clash of Poland’s 1939 military campaign during World War II. It occurred from October 28 to October 31, near the town of Kock, as Polish forces made a last stand against advancing Nazi and Soviet armies. Although outnumbered and outgunned, Polish troops fought bravely, aiming to delay the enemy and preserve their forces. The battle ended with Polish surrender, marking the conclusion of Poland’s defense after its swift invasion by Germany and the USSR. It is remembered as a symbol of Polish resilience and patriotism during a dark period.
