Battery Thermal Management (BTM) is the system that controls the temperature of batteries in electric vehicles or electronics to keep them operating efficiently and safely. Batteries generate heat when they charge and discharge, and if they get too hot or too cold, their performance and lifespan can suffer, or safety risks may increase. BTM uses cooling or heating systems—like fans, liquid coolants, or thermal insulators—to maintain an optimal temperature range.
