Batch roaster

A batch roaster is a machine used to roast coffee beans in specific, controlled quantities—called batches—rather than continuously. It heats the beans evenly by rotating them inside a drum or chamber, allowing for precise control over roast level and flavor development. After a batch is finished, the beans are removed, and the process can be repeated with fresh beans. This method gives roasters flexibility to customize each batch’s profile, ensuring consistent quality and flavor, and is commonly used by specialty coffee roasters to produce distinct and high-quality roasts.
