Batch culture

A batch culture is a method of growing microorganisms or cells in a fixed amount of nutrient medium within a contained environment, such as a flask or a tank. Once the nutrients are added, the culture is allowed to grow without adding or removing anything until the process is complete. This method is used in laboratories and industries for research, production, or testing purposes. It provides a controlled environment to study growth patterns and produce products like antibiotics or enzymes, but it doesn't allow for continuous growth like other methods, as the nutrients are limited to the initial supply.
