bassoons

A bassoon is a large, woodwind instrument known for its deep, rich sound. It produces music when the player blows air into a narrow, tube-shaped body and uses fingers to open and close holes along its length, altering the pitch. The instrument features a double reed—a small, curved piece of bamboo—that vibrates to create sound. Bassoons are often used in orchestras and bands, providing the bass line and interesting tonal colors. Despite its size, it is quite agile and capable of a wide range of expressive dynamics and tones.
