Basilica de San Pablo Extramuros
Basilica de San Pablo Extramuros, also known as Saint Paul’s Outside the Walls, is one of Rome’s major basilicas, situated just outside the ancient city walls. It was originally built in the 4th century over the presumed burial site of Saint Paul, one of Christianity’s most important apostles. The basilica features impressive architecture, including a grand façade, mosaics, and historic mosaics inside. It serves as a religious site for pilgrims and hosts significant liturgical events. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it reflects the early Christian history and architectural evolution of Rome.
