Barge
A barge is a flat-bottomed boat used primarily for transporting heavy or bulky cargo, such as goods or raw materials, across rivers, lakes, or canals. Because of its design, a barge can carry large amounts of freight at a relatively low cost, making it an efficient way to move goods over water. Barges are typically towed or pushed by tugboats and are essential for commercial shipping in inland waterways where large-scale distribution occurs. They are not usually self-propelled and depend on external power sources for movement.
