Barad-dûr

Barad-dûr, also known as the Dark Tower, is a massive fortress in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, specifically in Mordor. Built by the Dark Lord Sauron, it served as his stronghold and symbol of power. The tower is a dominant, black, menacing structure crafted from ash and black stone, standing amidst volcanic ash and fire. It houses Sauron’s main fortress, where he plots to dominate Middle-earth. Its intimidating presence represents evil, tyranny, and Sauron’s control, playing a central role in the conflict against the free peoples of Middle-earth.
