Band Society

A band society is a small, nomadic group typically consisting of 20-50 people, often hunting and gathering for their livelihood. These societies are characterized by their social organization, where decisions are made collectively or through informal leadership, and resources are shared equally. They rely on strong kinship ties and cooperation for survival. Band societies are usually egalitarian, with minimal social hierarchies, and their culture is usually passed orally. They represent one of the earliest forms of human social organization, focusing on mobility, communal living, and close connections within the group.
