Baltic Pipeline
The Baltic Pipeline, also known as the Baltic Pipe, is a natural gas pipeline that connects Norway's gas fields to Poland and other Central European countries. It aims to increase energy security by diversifying gas supplies and reducing reliance on Russian gas. The pipeline runs through the Baltic Sea and is designed to transport up to 10 billion cubic meters of gas annually. It became operational in late 2022, enhancing regional energy independence and supporting the transition to cleaner energy sources in line with European climate goals.
