balloon release

A balloon release involves sending a bunch of balloons into the air, often during celebrations or memorials. Once released, the balloons ascend into the atmosphere, carried by the wind, and eventually burst or deflate. While visually striking, this practice poses environmental risks, as balloon debris can harm wildlife and pollute ecosystems when they fall back to the ground or water. Additionally, latex and Mylar balloons can take years to decompose. Due to these concerns, many communities discourage or ban balloon releases in favor of more eco-friendly commemorative methods.
