Balloon dilation

Balloon dilation is a medical procedure used to widen a narrow or blocked passage in the body, such as blood vessels or ducts. A doctor inserts a thin tube with a small, deflated balloon at its tip into the affected area. Once in place, the balloon is gently inflated, stretching the area to improve blood flow or drainage. After the desired size is achieved, the balloon is deflated and removed. This minimally invasive technique often helps restore normal function and can reduce the need for more invasive surgery.
