Baird's Phonovision

Baird's Phonovision was an early invention by John Logie Baird around 1927 that aimed to record sound visually. He used a process called television scanning to create a visual representation of sound waves onto a disc, which could then be played back to recreate the original sound. Essentially, it was an attempt to combine the recording of audio with the technology of television, enabling sound to be stored and later retrieved from visual patterns. While not widely commercialized, Phonovision was a pioneering step toward modern audio and video recording methods.
