Bahrain Monetary Agency
The Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA) was the former central bank of Bahrain, responsible for overseeing the country's monetary policy, regulating banks and financial institutions, and maintaining financial stability. It ensured the smooth functioning of Bahrain’s financial system, issued the national currency (the Bahraini dinar), and worked to promote economic growth. In 2006, the BMA was replaced by the Central Bank of Bahrain, which continues these roles today. Essentially, the BMA helped keep Bahrain’s banking system secure, stable, and efficiently managed to support the country's economy.
