Bahlul Lodi

Bahlul Lodi was a prominent Afghan military leader and founder of the Lodhi dynasty in northern India during the late 15th century. Originally a poet and soldier, he rose to power after serving under Sultan Sikandar Lodhi. In 1489, he established his own rule in parts of Delhi, marking the beginning of the Lodhi dynasty, which ruled the Delhi Sultanate until 1526. His leadership helped unify various territories and set the stage for subsequent rulers. Bahlul Lodi is remembered as a capable administrator and a key figure in Indian history during the late medieval period.
