Bag of Visual Words
The Bag of Visual Words (BoVW) is a method used in image analysis to categorize and recognize objects within pictures. It works by breaking down an image into small parts called features, then comparing these to a set of predefined "visual words" that represent common patterns or textures. By counting how often each visual word appears, the image is turned into a numerical "bag" that summarizes its content. This approach allows computers to efficiently analyze and classify images based on their visual components, much like how text documents can be summarized by word frequency.
