Baekje Kingdom
Baekje was one of Korea’s Three Kingdoms (37 BC–660 AD), known for its rich culture, art, and advanced maritime skills. Located in the southwestern part of Korea, it played a key role in regional trade and diplomacy, often exchanging ideas and goods with China, Japan, and other neighboring states. Baekje helped spread Korean culture and Buddhism to Japan. It was a powerful kingdom but eventually fell to the Tang Dynasty combined with Silla forces in 660 AD, leading to its integration into future Korean states. Its legacy includes stunning artifacts, architecture, and significant contributions to Korean cultural heritage.
