Badgers

Badgers are small to medium-sized mammals known for their stout bodies, short legs, and distinctive facial markings. They belong to the family Mustelidae, which includes otters and weasels. Commonly found in Europe, Asia, and North America, badgers primarily live in burrows and are nocturnal, meaning they are most active at night. They are omnivorous, feeding on insects, small animals, fruits, and roots. Badgers are social animals, often living in groups called “cetes.” They play a vital role in their ecosystems by aerating the soil and controlling insect populations. Despite their often fierce reputation, they typically avoid confrontations.
