Baddeley model of working memory

The Baddeley model of working memory describes it as a system with different components working together to temporarily hold and manipulate information. It includes the phonological loop, which handles spoken and auditory information; the visuospatial sketchpad, responsible for visualizing and manipulating images; the central executive, which directs attention and coordinates these processes; and the episodic buffer, integrating information across different types and linking it to long-term memory. This model explains how we process and manage multiple types of information simultaneously for tasks like reasoning, problem-solving, and learning.
