Backyard Breeders

Backyard breeders are individuals who breed dogs, cats, or other animals often at home, usually without extensive knowledge or focus on the animals’ long-term health and wellbeing. Unlike professional or responsible breeders who prioritize the quality, health, and temperament of their animals, backyard breeders may lack proper veterinary care, genetic understanding, or adherence to ethical standards.
