Bacha Khan, also known as Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan, was a prominent Indian and Pakistani activist and leader who championed non-violent resistance and education for his people. Born in 1890 in the region now part of Pakistan, he worked tirelessly for the rights of Pashtuns and promoted peaceful protest against British colonial rule and later, in Pakistan, against injustice and extremism. Known as the “Frontier Gandhi,” his philosophy emphasized non-violence and unity among different communities. His efforts aimed to achieve social justice, education, and peace, making him a respected figure for his commitment to non-violent change.
