Baby Albert
Baby Albert was a young boy involved in a famous psychology experiment conducted by John B. Watson and Rosalie Rayner in the early 20th century. The experiment demonstrated classical conditioning, where Albert was initially exposed to a white rabbit without fear. However, researchers then paired the presence of the rabbit with loud noises, causing Albert to associate the two. Eventually, Albert displayed fear even without the noise when seeing the rabbit alone. The study illustrated how emotional responses can be learned through association, highlighting the principles of conditioned emotional reactions.
