Baathism

Baathism is an political ideology that originated in the Arab world, advocating for the unity of Arab countries, nationalism, and socialism. It seeks to create a single, unified Arab nation free of divisions and foreign influence, emphasizing collective identity and social justice. Baathist governments, like those in Iraq and Syria, often promote strong centralized control, modernization, and Arab pride. While promoting cohesion and development, in practice, it has also been associated with authoritarian rule and repression of political dissent.
