B sedentary behavior
Sedentary behavior involves activities that involve sitting or lying down with minimal physical movement, such as watching TV, working at a computer, or driving. It is characterized by low energy expenditure, typically around 1.0 to 1.5 metabolic equivalents (METs). Prolonged sedentary time has been linked to increased risks of health problems like heart disease, diabetes, and obesity, regardless of physical activity levels. Reducing sedentary behavior by breaking up long periods of sitting with movement can improve overall health and well-being.
