B physics working group
The B physics working group is a team of scientists focused on studying particles called B mesons, which contain a bottom quark. Their goal is to understand fundamental forces and matter’s behavior by examining how B mesons decay, interact, and transform. These studies can reveal insights into why the universe has more matter than antimatter and test the validity of the Standard Model of particle physics. The group analyzes data from particle accelerators, developing experimental techniques and theories to deepen our knowledge of the universe’s fundamental building blocks.
