B-movie
A B-movie is a film produced with a lower budget, often featuring less-known actors and simpler production values. Originally, the term distinguished these films from major studio releases (A-movies) and was associated with second-tier or genre films, such as horror, science fiction, or sci-fi. Despite smaller budgets, many B-movies develop dedicated fanbases and can be creatively inventive or cult classics. They often emphasize entertainment and novelty over high production quality, and their charm sometimes lies in their campy or unpolished aesthetic.
