Bühlmann decompression algorithm

The Bühlmann decompression algorithm helps divers safely return to the surface by calculating how their bodies absorb and release inert gases, mainly nitrogen, under pressure. It models how nitrogen dissolves into tissues during the dive and advises specific ascent rates and stops to avoid dangerous bubble formation. Essentially, it ensures divers decompress gradually, allowing nitrogen to leave the body safely, reducing the risk of decompression sickness (the bends). The algorithm uses tissue compartments with different sensitivities to provide a personalized, science-based plan for safe surface ascent.
