Báb

The Báb was a religious leader in 19th-century Persia (Iran) who founded the Bábí faith, proclaiming himself as a messenger of God and forerunner to a new, divine revelation. His teachings emphasized spiritual renewal, social justice, and the unity of all people. His movement challenged existing religious and political authorities, leading to persecution. The Báb’s followers believed he was a herald preparing the way for a future divine figure, known as Bahá'u'lláh, who would establish a global faith promoting peace and unity. The Báb’s life and teachings significantly influenced the development of the Bahá’í Faith.
