
Aznar, José María
José María Aznar is a Spanish politician who served as the Prime Minister of Spain from 1996 to 2004. He is a member of the conservative Popular Party and is known for his economic reforms, promoting market liberalization, and strengthening Spain's ties within the European Union. Aznar's tenure included efforts to modernize the Spanish economy, as well as foreign policy decisions, such as supporting the U.S. in the Iraq War, which were both praised and criticized domestically.
