Azimut

Azimuth is a measurement used in navigation and surveying to describe the direction of one point relative to another. It is expressed in degrees, starting from a fixed reference point—usually true north—and increasing clockwise. For example, an azimuth of 90° points directly east, 180° south, and 270° west. This measurement helps in accurately indicating and mapping directions over distances, which is essential in fields like land surveying, navigation, and astronomy for precise orientation and location tracking.
